BTL, known for radiofrequency and ultrasound devices (Emsculpt NEO, Exilis Ultra), established a dedicated laser unit and introduced EXOLASE ONE, an excimer-based laser system. The move signals BTL's intent to capture a larger share of the energy-device market by offering a broader modality mix.

BTL enters laser market to expand its energy-device portfolio.

Excimer lasers target psoriasis, vitiligo, and select pigmentation disorders—a narrower clinical niche than ablative or non-ablative fractional systems. For practices already using BTL's RF and ultrasound platforms, EXOLASE ONE represents a way to deepen the relationship and cross-sell into dermatology-adjacent indications. The real competitive pressure lands on Cutera and Cynosure if BTL prices aggressively or bundles excimer access into device-financing packages.
