Sciton Super MOXI Expands to Full-Body

Sciton's upgraded MOXI platform now targets comprehensive skin revitalization beyond the face.

Sciton has released Super MOXI, an enhanced version of its fractional erbium platform designed for head-to-toe skin resurfacing. The upgrade appears to focus on expanded treatment parameters, larger handpieces, or improved cooling to enable faster full-body sessions without compromising safety margins.

This positions MOXI directly against the emerging demand for post-GLP-1 body contouring and skin tightening. Practices already running MOXI on faces are now seeing patients who've lost 30, 40, 50 pounds and need skin quality improvement across the neck, chest, arms, and abdomen. Super MOXI's full-body capability lets those practices capture that revenue without adding a second platform.

Super MOXI captures post-GLP-1 body contouring demand without new platform investment.

The installed base of MOXI users is substantial, and upgrade paths are typically easier than new-system acquisition—lower capex, familiar workflow, existing staff training. Sciton's move is defensive and offensive simultaneously: it locks in existing customers while expanding addressable patient volume per device. For practices not yet on MOXI, it's worth benchmarking against EXOLASE ONE and other erbium competitors on treatment speed, downtime, and clinical outcomes.
