The core ingredient is TriHex+™, which combines ALASTIN's TriHex Technology with a proprietary Octapeptide-45. TriHex Technology helps the body produce natural collagen and elastin. Octapeptide-45 helps skin increase its own production of high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid for plumping and hydration. The formula also includes Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2 for lift support, plus a proprietary dill and blackberry blend designed to support elastin and protect skin. The product retains the brand's core ingredients: mimosa tree extract, oak and green tea leaf extracts, and niacinamide.
Galderma tested the formula in 29 patients aged 35 to 70 with moderate-to-severe periocular aging. At week 12, investigator clinical grading showed crow's feet fine lines decreased 30.13% and under-eye puffiness decreased 33.63% (both p<0.0001). Upper-eyelid fine lines decreased 21.62% (p<0.0001). The company says these results translated to visibly reduced puffiness, a more refined lower-eye contour, and softened crow's feet. Researchers measured outcomes across the three zones separately using investigator clinical grading, clinical photography, subject self-assessment, and tools that tracked hydration and elasticity.
Alan D. Widgerow, Galderma's chief scientific officer and head of the Skin Science Center for Innovation, framed the product around supporting the skin's regenerative capacity rather than masking aging. "The skin around the eyes is thin and delicate, and it depends on collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid to stay firm and hydrated. With TriHex+™, we're helping the skin with all three. He emphasized that the formula targets the dermal-epidermal junction and helps skin produce natural high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, while also softening the visible shift from the lower eyelid to the cheek, reducing dark circles, hollowing, and puffiness.
Dr. Brian Beisman, a board-certified oculofacial plastic surgeon, noted that patients often describe tired eyes as a combination of puffiness, fine lines, and upper-eyelid changes. He said the product was developed to address these concerns comprehensively and that clinical research shows encouraging evidence of improvement across multiple areas of concern.
What this means for practices
The product enters a crowded eye-care segment but with clinical data specific to three distinct zones. Practices already using ALASTIN's Regenerating Skin Nectar or Restorative Skin Complex (both part of the TriHex+™ portfolio) have a complementary option for the periocular area. The formula is positioned as a standalone product, though Galderma notes that practices can pair it with Restylane Eyelight, an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler for infraorbital hollows, for patients concerned about under-eye volume loss. Restylane Eyelight is indicated for the improvement of infraorbital hollowing in patients over age 21.

What we don't know
The document does not disclose the product's price point, how often patients should apply it, or whether it will expand beyond U.S. distribution. It also does not specify whether the clinical trial included any control or comparator arm, or how results compare to other eye creams on the market. The company cites "data on file" for ingredient efficacy claims but does not provide full study methodology or peer-reviewed publication status. Galderma notes that ALASTIN has more than 60 international dermatological publications and 25 patents granted, but does not specify which of those relate to this new formula or the TriHex+™ platform.
